Kapu'uola Hula Festival

Kapu‘uola is an outdoor non-competitive hula festival held at the pā hula (hula mound) at Pu‘uokapolei, a cultural and historic site. The festival will feature two days of sunset performances by three hālau hula (hula schools) and music entertainment by Māhiehie and Po‘okela and Friends.

The event is free and open to the public.

Tips When Attending…

Bring a refillable water bottle. Water coolers will be available throughout the area to refill your water bottle at any time for FREE.

No need to bring your own picnic mats, chairs and umbrellas. Tented seating will be available throughout the event grounds.

The event is outdoors, so dress comfortably. Wear sunscreen. 

Hula and mele begins at 5pm. Free cultural workshops will take place between 3-5pm. Reserve your workshop spot by registering at www.uluae.org. Walk-ins will be accepted as space is available.
